The heater of your car has stopped to work and you need to repair it by yourself but you do not know how to repair. Well we will give some tips that will help you to repair the heater of your car.
• Inspect the heater system to see whether there is any blockage or broken parts. You must be sure about the heater hoses whether they are in good condition or not. If your car possesses a summer valve on the engine block then you must open the valve on the engine.
• Inspect the blower circuit and motor if required. If the blower motor is not working properly then you can also check the fuse, all the switches and the connections of the wire. Some blower motors tend to have resistors that are easily burnt out and require replacement. You can even use an ohmmeter to inspect the blower circuit or motor.
• If you find it necessary to replace the blower meter then you must follow the manual instructions carefully and then try it to replace. In some cases you need to disassemble the dashboard partially but in all the cases you must drain out the cooling system.
• If you find it important to replace the heater core then also you need to read instructions given on the manual and must follow it accordingly. You will find many ways to do so in the manual. The core of the heater is usually found in a housing unit and is likely to be underneath of the dashboard or in the engine compartment against the firewall. Here you need to disconnect and disassemble the core of the heater and then you need to replace it and assemble everything together.
You need to test your car’s heater in order to know whether the heater of the car is working after fixing. If it is not working then you must repeat the procedure. If you are not able to fix it by alone then you must get it done by a professional mechanic.
